Princes Street - Sunday 7th August 2005
The Central Band joined Tattoo cast members (including the Norwegian Royal Guard) and performers from the other Edinburgh Festivals on the Festival Cavalcade; one of Europe's largest free events.
We met in Market Street, where there was plenty of
time for a quick rehearsal before we started to march.
This parade started at 2:30, and over the next few hours, wound it's way across Waverley Bridge, along Princes Street and into Castle Terrace - dispersing in Johnston Terrace. There was a great carnival atmosphere, as the event draws thousands of spectators.
Players from 1st Tulliallan, 4th Dunfermline, 13th and 55th Edinburgh and 1st Kirkliston Companies took part in this event (with Stewards provided by the 8th Stirling).
